Radio-controlled wall clocks
The time is always correct, even in summer time. Automatic accuracy, no worries.
CalleaDesign's radio-controlled wall clocks represent the perfect fusion of technological precision and modern design. Thanks to radio signal reception, these clocks offer impeccable accuracy, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. Discover the collection of uniquely designed radio-controlled clocks, perfect for those looking for a high-quality piece of furniture that guarantees elegance and punctuality.
In order to raise awareness of this technology, here we briefly answer some questions we are often asked about radio-controlled mechanisms:
1. How to set a radio-controlled wall clock?
Radio-controlled wall clocks do not require manual adjustments like conventional clocks. After inserting the batteries, the clock automatically synchronises with the radio signal of the atomic clock. If the clock loses synchronisation, simply place it in a location with good radio signal reception, usually near a window, and wait for it to update automatically. The process can take a few minutes or up to an hour, depending on the strength of the signal.
2. How does a radio-controlled clock work?
A radio-controlled clock receives signals from a radio transmitter connected to an atomic clock, guaranteeing extreme precision. The radio signal, transmitted at regular intervals, is picked up by the clock via an internal antenna, which updates the time automatically. This system ensures constant accuracy without the need for manual adjustments. In our case, the German mechanism synchronises with the DCF77 radio signal transmitted from Frankfurt. 3. How to set the time on a radio-controlled clock?
It is not necessary to adjust the time of a radio-controlled watch manually. When a new battery is inserted or when the watch is switched on, it automatically searches for the radio signal to set the correct time. If synchronisation does not occur immediately, simply move the watch to an area with good signal reception and wait for the adjustment to complete.
4. How to synchronise a radio-controlled clock?
The synchronisation of a radio-controlled clock occurs automatically several times a day. However, if the clock does not update correctly, it is possible to force a new synchronisation by moving it to an area with better radio signal reception, such as near a window, away from electronic equipment that could cause interference. Typically, synchronisation takes a few minutes to an hour.
